Groceries – how much is yours?

on

A friend of mine has tweens and live in Ireland. We were talking about how much we spend on groceries on a weekly basis.

I promised her I would work out a food list and menu to prove my point that you can be healthy yet no spend a lot; as long as you cook from scratch and don’t rely on ready/convenient ingredients.

They are a family of 5 (2 adults, a 10y/o and 1.5 y/o tweens) – all kids are boys!

The price list is in Euros to reflect her location and Fish/Meat/Nappies/Aptamil were quoted from prices served by Aldi. The remainder were Tesco’s.

In summary I calculated their weekly groceries including toiletries and household cleaning products as a staggering € 150.48. Not bad, right? What do you think?
